What Someone Said About Love


"I think love is all the things you do to make someone else happy."

There is heart stirring truth in this comment. Love is about giving of yourself for others. That is all there is to say. I want to live by this love.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

    I agree absolutely. There are feelings that we have in our hearts, and there things that we do - sometimes in response to those feelings, sometimes for other reasons. Love is the actions we perform for the benefit of others. We ought to have a different name for the feeling.
